The Allegheny Department of World Languages & Cultures will be screening “Bye Bye Tiberias” (Palestine, France, Belgium, Qatar, 2024 Director Lina Soualem) at the Movies@Meadville.

Years after leaving her Palestinian village to pursue and acting career in France, Hiam Abbass returns home with her daughter, filmmaker Lina Soualem, in this intimate documentary about four generations of daring Palestinian women who keep their story and legacy alive through the strength of their bonds, despite exile, dispossession, and heartbreak.
