The Second Saturday Community Market is held in downtown Meadville, PA from May - September. This season, you can find them on Chestnut Street between Park Ave and Mulberry Alley.
Each 2nd Saturday of the month from 9AM - 2PM, browse the wares of local vendors and businesses, enjoy local foods, live music and entertainment, and family activities.

Join Dr. Jenn Houtz, Allegheny College Professor of Biology, as she provides a highly-interactive workshop decorating bird boxes and constructing eco-friendly bird feeders. Dr. Houtz, editor of the highly successful Backyard Birds of Allegheny College Coloring Book, studies the physiology and behavior of birds, including Eastern Bluebirds and Tree Swallows.
Participants will collaborate in decorating pre-constructed bird boxes that will be installed around the Meadville Public Library. They will also have the opportunity to construct an eco-friendly bird feeder out of provided common household materials that they may take with them at the end of the event.

Learn to create your own jewelry and more in this introductory class. We'll walk you through the basics of wire-wrapping (using strands of wire to enclose a loose stone or object) and turn them into everything from pendants to keychains. It's easy and it's free! Semi-precious stones and will be provided (or bring your own trinket that you'd like to turn into something special).

Supporting Neason Hill PTO! There more than 50 vendors offering unique gift items including ceramics, handmade jewelry, crocheted items, and baked goods. They will also have wholesale vendors such as Color Street Nails, Tupperware, Origami Owl, and Bella Sorella.
Discover the timeless craft of chair caning at the Shontz Memorial Library! This free workshop intertwines history with creativity. Charles Elliott, a renowned master weaver with over 45 years of experience, invites you to explore the world of antique furniture restoration with a focus on cane seat weaving. Learn how each chair narrates a story of American ingenuity and practicality with a demonstration, then try your hand at the chair caning under Charles’s expert guidance.
Carol Novosel lives in Sharon, and has created tens of thousands of pysanky, exquisitely decorated eggs using wax and dye. Her eggs have been given to then President Clinton, and Alex Trebek featured one of her eggs on an episode of Jeopardy! She will show a variety of her creations and speak about how they are an integral part of spring traditions in her Ukrainian church community. Participants will be able to try a bit of pysanky art themselves.

All aboard for the 3rd annual Train Station Summer Festival! There will be a craft show, blacksmith demonstrations, period clothing displays, food truck, and all things trains. Museum and gift shop will also be open during the event. Admission is free.
